My Dear Fellows:
Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for welcoming me as a New Member to our Fly-In at Old Warden this Sunday last.
The fact remains true to me now, on reflection after having managed to return to New Hampshire (New England, USA) avoiding what I think will be a nasty airline strike, that Airplane Nuts the world around do, indeed, share a common, unspoken, and passionate bond.
To own the ability to combine one's appreciation and sense of history by one's hands into a living, breathing beast (G-OFFA comes immediately to mind) is an aptitude and avocation that, I think, we all share. What an extraordinary bunch we are.
I doff my hat to all of you who, very kindly, signed off on my commemorative book "Silvered Wings", which Andy Wright so surreptitiously prodded you to do! That publication, along with your hand, will remain a cherished memento for me of our time together for the rest of my life.
And I warn you all in the words of Arnold the Terminator: "I'll Be Back."
So, Boys, Keep 'em Flying. Let us all find some small way to introduce our life's passion to ones younger and, perhaps, less fortunate than ourselves, that our Spirit in Aviation may be carried forward to future generations of Airplane Nuts willing to carry our Cause.
My Sincere Thanks to you all,
Alan Lyscars

Another superb event which was very much in the spirit of Air Camper’ing Many thanks to Christine, Peter and John for all your efforts. James and I had a wonderful day and thought the Gazebo and self catering worked well. Many thanks to all the pilots of Campers various for making the effort to come along and provide a focus for our Grand Day out.
An excellent day!
I was rather tied up in entertaining my guests during the day, but they all enjoyed their insight into the Pietenpol world! I even visited Shuttleworth's play area, a first for me!
Thanks to Peter and Christine for organising a great day and weather to match!
Great weekend. It only took 11/2 hrs to get back to Westfield Farm at 60kt cruise. Please would a few intrepid aviators try to make the effort to come to the flyin on the 27th June. You will not be dissapointed!Peter Cooke G-BXZO
