Hi,
I am the Secretary of North Coates Flying Club we are holding our Vintage Wings & Wheels flying meeting on July 18/19th and would like to invite any of your club members to attend should they wish.
We have never seena Pietenpol at the airfield and it would be a welcome addition to the expected line up of classics. You can learn more about us on our web site www.northcoatesflyingclub.co.uk

John, Just wanted to add a note to thank you for helping us out at the end of the day.
Dave,The pictures on this page are the only ones submitted to me so far...by Arthur, hence the ADRA bias. The Harland pictures include many of G-OFFA (Grumpy-Old Farts Flying Assoc?) and are available on his site.

Fantastic day and all credit to Peter & Christine for organising it. All the OW locals thought it was fantastic and would like to repeat the operation next year. Any Piet is always welcome here, at any time, just bring the same weather!

Hi everyone! Thanks everybody for your contribution towards making the 80th celebration a big success. I'd especially like to thank Peter and Christine for all their hard work in organising the finer details of the event, which I believe helped make it all look very proffesional, and will no doubt boost our standing within the LAA. To cap it all, Peter's success with Francis regarding mods was the icing on the cake. I had so many positive comments from visitors at the end of the day to say how much they enjoyed the event - Members of the Pietenpol Club should be proud.

A grand day out. Thanks to all the committee (especially Peter) and to the pilots/owners who bought along the fantastic display of pietenpols. Excellent weather and venue this will be a hard act to follow for the 90th

Hello Everyone - John Bygraves rang me some ten days ago and at the end of the conversation, mentioned that he was building a Pietenpol (at his age too! ) I'm sure it will be a stunner as anyone who has seen his builds and re-builds can confirm. Thirty one years ago, I met an old boy in his 80's at Oshkosh, who had built a Carden Ford model (were they all so engined then ?) in the 30's. He had flown it in with two night stops on the way ! Highlight of that trip for me, was to fly the Lindberg Ryan replica which the EAA had built to celebrate the 200th aniversary of the Union of America. J.E.
